Ripples of Sunshine. Handwoven shawl in ultra fine super soft merino.

The yarn has been hand dyed in shades of pink, orange and yellow to create a radiant gradient in all the sunrise and sunset shades. A mixture of the hanks were used in weaving the warp and weft. Woven in a ripple undulating twill pattern, the tone-in-tone design adds depth to the cloth.

The perfect companion for sitting on the veranda in the evening or morning, drinking coffee or sipping wine coolers! Perfect for an evening out, or snuggling on the sofa or deck. It can be worn as a boho poncho with belt, as a stole, or wrap. The ultra fine wool also allows the shawl to be worn as a neck scarf as the cloth is incredibly soft and supple.

The shawl is extremely squishy soft, drapey and warm.

The shawl has been hand washed and dried, then pressed.

Materials: 100% ultra fine hand dyed NZ merino. Hand twisted fringe. Hand wash only.

This one-off piece is Work 207. I never weave the same cloth or item twice. Every piece is unique and numbered, every creation has a story to tell.

Merino wool comes from our Merino sheep and is renowned for its exceptional properties: its fantastic softness, durability, cooling/heating and breathability. The fibres of Merino are softer, finer and more sensitive than many other fibres – the main difference to other wools.
