Ginger Cracker. Handwoven scarf in the softness of alpaca.
The base of the scarf is a hand dyed charcoal grey NZ possum/merino. This is an incredibly soft, elegant, high quality wool and one of our luxury fibres.
The alpaca used to weave the scarf was hand dyed in shades of orange.
Perfect as a statement accessory or giving warmth under a coat. Gender neutral. The Alpaca Possum Merino blend offers incredible warmth while remaining very lightweight. The scarf is very soft, drapey and warm.
Alpaca is one of the finest natural fibres in the world and has a distinctive texture and sheen that feels soft and smooth against the skin. It’s softer than other animal fibres that can feel scratchy, and the final product always reflects that fine quality. Alpaca fiber is warmer and lighter than classic wools and is the wind, water, and stain-resistant.
Possum fibre is 55% warmer than merino fibre, the combination produces a garment with a high warmth to weight ratio. Warmer than cashmere. This wool has 20% possum, making it lightweight and suitable for wear both inside and out.
The scarf has been hand washed and dried, then pressed.
