Fabric sources

Here is a list of quality online fabric shops. These stores sell high quality fabrics, are honest traders, and are available for eMail questions.

Each store specialises in their own style. Drapers is a solid allround store. They often have designer fabrics and their remnant section is very good. Harmer & Huff is new and a boutique single-woman shop. They have top European fabrics and beuatiful prints. Fine Cloth sells only wools, linens and silks, and usually solids. Fabric Box is another allrounder and have more speciality cloths (like coloured denim). The Fabric Store is known for their linen range (though I prefer Fine Cloth’s quality) and also have merino fabric in a multitude of colours. They also sell Liberty. Miss Maude sells Merchant & Mills fabrics and some very nice Irish linen and wools. Nerida Hansen is known for their artistic and colourful prints – and they sell out quickly. Tessuti has very high end fabrics and their shipping is high. But it is free if you can get $150 together.

All shops will do a thread match for you. That means you can buy the matching colour on check out.
